Wow I can't believe I have passed this place for years! Absolutely a hole in the wall hidden gem in casselberry. Small and cozy. Dimly lit. Relaxing ambiance. It was fairly quiet when we went but not crowded at all. They seem to have daily specials that rotate to keep things fresh. What really sets this restaurant above the other sushi spots is their selection! They have a wide variety of fish to choose from. This is absolutely a sashimi and nigiri lover spot. They do offer omakase too! Me and my friend got 3 starters. Raw wasabi octopus, super fresh. Beautiful balanced wasabi flavor. And I got the jalapeno hamachi. It was topped with caviar cilantro and ponzu. It was delicious I had a hard time taking it slow and savoring it. And the shitake sauteed in butter. Such a simple flavor but they were really good mushrooms. We did 3 rolls. Samurai, futomaki and a spicy tuna roll. Their spicy tuna roll was easily the top 3 best I've ever had. So fresh and clean tasting. You could definitely notice the tuna quality shine through which really impressed us for something so "simple" The futomaki was good, but there might have been TOO much going on. And despite all that was in there. The only flavor that shines through was crab oddly enough. If you love crab flavor you will enjoy it. Then the samurai topped with tempura eel and tuna inside. Very fresh tasty. Our server was Emma and she was wonderful! Super attentive and very helpful with any questions and recommendations we might have had. We picked almost all her recommendations and all of them were excellent. Glad I know about this spot now and I can't wait to come back!

Absolutely amazing experience. The Hokkiado Uni was caught that morning and incredibly fresh and delicious. The Fuji Roll, Pina Colada Roll, and Futomaki Roll were all Absolutely amazing. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and gave wonderful recommendations. We ended with the tempura cheesecake and vanilla ice cream, which was out of this world, and everything our amazing server said it would be! I live about an hour and a half north of this restaurant, I was in town to see my friend. I would absolutely drive an hour and a half just to come to this restaurant. 10 out of 10.

We love having the WA Sushi experience and we enjoy it every time. The ramen and the sushi are second to none. The gyōza and shishito peppers are am appetizer must, always best accompanied by a Sapporo 🍥 100% recommended

I had been recommended to try this place, and it looks like it has received positive reviews. The atmosphere was very nice - the place is cozy and had piano music playing though the speakers. The servers were polite. They had a good selection of ported drinks and the menu appeared well-rounded. The food however, was just okay. The fish tasted warm, dry, and funky. The rice was slightly crunchy. The soy sauce tasted old...? It felt like it cost more than it should, especially given the wait for each of my rolls and the overall quality. I had three rolls and couldn't finish the third. I'm bummed that I didn't like it, because this place is one of my friend's favorite sushi joints. But something was definitely off. Maybe it was a fluke, but consistency is important right.

10/28/23: My daughter chose this restaurant to try out for our mommy-daughter day out. We ordered the following: 1. Dobin Mushi: A traditional Japanese savory broth, steamed and served in a dobin tea pot with shrimp, chicken, anago, and shiitake mushroom. $12 - Okay, it reminds me of my homemade broths at home and for the price of $12 for a bowl of broth and a few pieces of solids that fits in a tiny teapot the size of those stainless steel rice bowl you get at the the Korean restaurants is a bit pricey. Nothing really stands out but I was curious so I had to try it. It's not bad, just reminds me of my homemade food at home. 2. Niki Udon: Thinly sliced beef simmered in a sweet soy sauce over a bowl of udon noodle soup. $17. The type of beef cut is called "thịt bò nạm" in Vietnamese. I don't know what you call it in English. My daughter doesn't like this particular beef cut for its chewiness. I am not much a fan of it but the udon noodle texture was cooked just right and the broth has a well balanced flavor. 3. Shrimp Tempura Roll $8 - daughter likes it 4. Grilled Shishito peppers $8 (I tried to grow the Shishito pepper plant from seed. After five months of waiting, the pepper plant only gave me four little peppers. 😂 Okay. I will just take the shortcut and order this appetizer at the restaurant now.) 5. Ninja - Spicy tunal, Shiso and squid rolled with norinthen tempura fried. Topped with chili oil, eel sauce, masago, scallion and sesame seed. $16 - Love it! It was well worth every dollar. I like how it's deep fried to a crispy outer texture without letting the oil penetrate or seeped into the food. My perfect kind of crispy fried texture. (6. Ummm...I am hoping we will have room for Banana Tempura with ice cream. 😂 $8) ...Yes! We made it to the dessert. It's a big portion compared to other fried banana tempura served at other Japanese restaurants. Delicious! The tempura was crispy and what's most important about a good fried banana tempura is that the bananas used are ripen with a perfect sweetness, or else it would be bland if bananas hadn't ripen yet.
