This restaurant took over Friendly Confines in the Altamonte Mall.
I really don't think they're going to make it.
The air conditioner still has not been repaired and this was an ongoing issue at Friendly Confines. They literally had stand-up A/C s in the dining room. They were not really cooling.
The back half of the restaurant is still like Friendly Confines. In the front, they threw some conversation pit couches and chairs. The bar area is still like Friendly Confines.
The server was efficient but she later told us she was leaving and how others are not showing up. She pointed out the manager sitting down chit-chatting in the front of the restaurant. He actually walked by our table and didn't ask us how our food was.
Now for the food- mediocre.
The chili was not very meaty and definitely had some kick. The consensus on the chili was "ok".
My son ordered the tacos and did not like them. The server told him to go ahead and take the chips off the plate and she would take the tacos back. He ordered the burger to replace it. I did not try the tacos and I think I may have liked them but they had so many flavors on them, I could see it being a turn-off for many. All come With Cabbage Slaw, Avocado, Chimichurri, Lime Crema, Cotija, Watermelon Radish and Cilantro. The waitress did tell us to stay away from the chicken tinga because that does not ever get a positive review.
The flatbread that I had was the Le Steak blue flatbread. The server let me know after I got it that they spread an onion balsamic type jam on it, then later the meat and cheese. It could definitely have used more blue cheese. The steak was overcooked. It also had a sweet almost honey flavor to it. I gave it a 2.5 out of 5.
The newly prepared Burger and fries came out and they were good.
The sloppy Joseph was a sloppy joe made with short rib. This was given a it was "ok".
While there, a table of six left before ordering. The server told us it was because they couldn't find anything they wanted to eat.
This is one of those restaurants that I will never go back to. I will usually give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt but this will be a no-go. The menu is just so so, the atmosphere is blah and the energy is just negative.

Service was good. Rueben was perfect. The pizza was ok. The tater skins were good. The water though tasted so bad. Tasted like sewer water. Fries definitely not a fan of. So

Absolutely terrible! Dont waste your time or money. Took 45 minutes after ordering to receive our food. And by the way we only ordered chicken tenders, wings, and a burger. Wings were mediocre at best. Chicken tenders were burnt to a crisp and terrible, and they brought the completely wrong burger. To top it off the place was completely empty. Must have been maybe 2 other tables besides us. Still ended up paying over $40 with tip (because the waiter did his best and it wasnt his fault) for 6 wings, 3 sodas and a side of chips. Way too many other options in the area to ever go back. Skip this place for sure. If your in the mall and hungry, just go to the food court. And if your looking for a “fine eatery” as they falsely advertise, run in the other direction.

The food was great. Fun atmosphere. They seemed a little short staffed (which is pretty common right now) so we never got refill.
The restaurant needs a little TLC. Over our heads at our booth, the ceiling was coming apart from a leak and had black mold growing.
If the restaurant were cleaned up and patched up, I would try it again.

Great food! Big menu. We ordered a variety of foods and everything tasted great. I had the medium garlic wings. Tater tots with some awesome seasoning. Chili cheese fries. Onion rings. Shrimp. Service was excellent, my drink was never empty... and I usually drink at least three to four cups. Conveniently located on Mall property with plenty of parking. Good atmosphere with a lot of TVs to watch the game.
